First peek!

I made all the desserts! Oreo cheesecake, plain cheesecake with a strawberry glaze, flourless chocolate cake, chocolate cupcakes, oatmeal/caramel/chocolate bars, specialK bars, fruit tart, carrot cake

Take-home treats. Chocolate covered raisins, caramel pecan turtles.

Daddy/daughter dance.

On Friday, January 25 of this happy year, Ben and I got married at Hubbard Park Lodge here in Shorewood, WI. We had the best party with friends and family.

Kelly and Justine of Buzz and the Bird Photography were our photographers, friends JKTJ were our DJs- NO ONE LEFT THE DANCE FLOOR! It was awesome.

My mom and sister-in-law, Vanessa, made the bouquets and boutonnieres.

Lovely, tall glass cylinders filled with water served as our centerpieces with rocks from Lake Michigan picked up at Point Beach State Forest in the bottom. Above floated ivory candles and cranberries from my hometown. We had pine branches and pine cones from friends Anne and Mark Lee surrounding the cylinders along with more candles.

I made all the wedding desserts- it took about 10 hours and cost under $100. Everything was delicious.

The whole wedding was pretty DIY, and I couldn’t have done it without the help of my Jon and Vanessa (my brother and his wife), and my mom.

About one hour twenty minutes after letting the dough rise.

Kneading the dough.

Split the dough in two!

Individual loaves kneaded.

Prior to the loaves rising.

50 minutes later, the the loaves have doubled in size.

YUM! Toasted with honey! Or grilled! With cheese!

I made whole wheat bread today!
